這麼紅的一家店，就在美麗的臺中火車站前不遠處，經過還是要來朝聖一下。

Miyahara was an Eye Clinic back in 1927 established by Dr. Miyahara Takekuma during Japanese occupation era. It was badly damaged by the big earthquake in 1999. Fortunately, it has been renovated by Dawn Cake Company 日出.

I think they did come out with an excellent renovation project.
What they tried to do was not just conserving the historical building, but also adopting new elements and environment friendly designs. The main concept was to connect the past and open a new stage for the future.

When you take a look at the people hanging around the shop, you can see many new stories are happening in this historical site.

明明就是日出甜品冰淇淋店，為何叫宮原眼科呢？

因為這棟建築原本就是宮原眼科。

宮原眼科的醫師原來是個日本人，名為宮原武熊。

1999年台灣大地震這座建築大受損壞，差點就要拆除了，還好後來決定保留，「日出」接手修復，並決定採取新舊並存，延伸過去、展望未來的概念重修這棟老建築！

因此現在所看到的這棟建築，不但融入許多新的環保設計，還請來老工藝師修復店內的老元素！

BTW, 美麗的台中火車站是文藝復興風格建築。











現在店內分為好幾個部分，包括每次都要排隊的冰淇淋部（買家庭號不用排隊），及不用排隊的日出宮原店（上面的照片都是，美！）、宮原巧克力、醉月樓沙龍（有下午茶）。



 

非常大方的冰淇淋加料，包括土鳳梨酥、起司蛋糕、杏仁酥餅等。





我最愛的原味起司蛋糕。
